Google Play apps can now be searched thanks to an all new Google Search feature. Until now apps could not be indexed if they did not have an anchoring website. But now Penguin’s meta-crawlers have been strengthened to seek out apps and if they do not have a website, then offer them the option to ‘stream’ apps on the mobile browsers. Try the “Google Play free Download” option to know more apps at the store.
Streaming apps on browser
The advantage here is that the ‘streaming apps’ are not just some mobile-based segments working but native application runs. The apps during the instance of streaming are actually run on Google’s Cloud platform virtually. Hence, the feel and touch is very close to that of the native applications.
This streaming of apps within the browser is yet another roll-out that will see an upheaval in the current protocol of results listings. Google will display results which are all about ‘indexing functional’ features. However, Google has been indexing mobile apps for nearly two years now. The strategy was to build search capabilities to list on result pages from content used in apps as well. Without such capability, the search engine would soon become irrelevant since apps would come to dominate computing world and most technologies.

The technology which google essentially harness to successfully list apps on search engine results page is the ‘Deeplink’ feature. This is a link which points to pages which are located in various apps, much like web pages in a website. In the initial days, Google attempted to deep links some of the Android OS’s early adopters. In its current avatar the app indexes as many as apps as available on nearly all of the popular platforms that mobile phones are now built on- iOS as well as Androids.
Thus far, the indexed apps are nearly 1000s. For Google the cache of linked apps exceeds as many as 100 billion on the apps indexed. And knowing Google, there would be recommendations. This feature is optimized based on the types of search or queries on the mobile and Google’s own results to match such app features. Users are provided with pointers to apps which they can download on their devices. Know more with “Google Play free Download”.
